The alarm goes off, you've raced to the building to make it there in record time only to find a possible false alarm situtation. Do you go in ? Thermal cameras are great for taking surface temperature measurements but what happens when a hot spot is obsured behind a wall, particularily when that wall is at an elevated temperature as is often the case ? The problem is the heat of the wall often obscures hot spots because thermal cameras do not have sufficient contrast sensivity (i.e. white out !).

The Model 955L RedHawk^TM Thermal Scanner with SmartSight Technology has a contrast sensitivity 100x to 1000x greater than thermal cameras and infrared thermometers allowing it to detect hots spots that other devices cannot.
